Adventures has had a great year (2011). We have an amazing staff who care passionately about the ministry. Here's a brief summary:

Fruit

•    Thousands discipled and their lives changed.
•    Record numbers of participants (now 96,000 since we started)
•    5000+ orphans cared for
•    29% overall growth

Percentage growth of ministries
22% World Race
60% Passport
4%   Short-term missions
62% Orphan care
18% Long-term missions

Increasing long-term focus
For years, we've sought to link the fruit of Adventures' short-term missions with long-term missions.  We've wanted to do more long-term ministry.

In the last year, we've developed Kingdom Dreams as a tool to help World Racers connect with long-term opportunities.  We've successfully done this through a conference we call, Searchlight.  Searchlight gives World Racers networking tools and career coaching that helps them to make sense of their next steps. We offer it free to World Racers.

The fruit among Searchlight participants has been positive. For example, more than 50% committed to long-term ministry.

Our hope is that many will form long-term missions teams. We have been pioneering new strategies in sending and caring for them and are developing a model that takes into account the new realities of the 21st century.
