What if I told you there was a way for you to have the college experience of your dreams without going into debt? What if it was an experience where you learned at twice the speed of the standard lecture model of college - one that helped you grow in faith and connected you to community? Would you be interested?

That's the kind of school we launched yesterday. The 27 students and four leaders in the picture above landed in Albania this morning.

It's called Journey School. It takes the best elements of the World Race - a faith journey focusing on identity, community and mission and combines them with AI-directed learning based on students' interests. Students have school for three intensive hours in the morning. Then their cohorts engage in ministry for three hours. The last part of the day, students focus on projects of their choosing. Our objective is that they love school.

Journey School gives Christ-following students customized preparation for a life of leadership. We do this by giving them experiences provoking wonder and curiosity that lead to working on projects under world-class mentors. And when they are ready, we connect them to apprenticeships launching them into their calling. Students learn initiative and resilience through project-based learning.

It's hard to believe that you can do all this, go to school for three years, graduate with a degree and no debt, but it's possible!

Tomorrow I'll be headed to meet our class in Albania. Next semester we'll be headed to Chiapas and Guatemala. We've already filled up our class - the response by young people reminds me of when we started the World Race 20 years ago. They are hungry for this kind of an experience.

Stay tuned - I'll be sharing stories along the way!
