Interesting study by the Pew Foundation finds that church goers are happier than nonchurch goers, by a wide margin (43% said they were "very happy" vs. 26% for the pagans).

Contrary to what you've read in this blog and in the Scriptures, money does make a difference. Rich people were more than twice as happy as poor people.

Conservatives are happier than liberals (maybe because they've been in charge of the government lately?).

And married people are almost twice as happy as single people.

Having said that about poor people, perhaps it's a surprise that the happiest people in the world (according to a Gallup poll) are Nigerians, - one of the poorer countries in the world.

I like what Jesus said about happiness, "Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."
