Hurricane Milton left 3 million without power this morning. It spawned a rash of tornadoes in southern Florida. Thousands are homeless. As the sun comes up on the beaches where Milton made landfall,  the cleanup begins.

The one-two punch of Hurricanes Helene and Milton give those of us who are Christ-followers a great opportunity. Victims are desperate for assistance. Churches across the country need to be responding.

We can begin with prayer. And as the needs of families in pain surface, we need to be giving sacrificially. Eventually early responders will show us ways that we can make a difference by volunteering.

Adventures Relief has over 30 years experience helping churches compassionately respond to natural disasters. Today, we have boots on the ground in southern Florida and in the hardest hit parts of North Carolina. We exist to come alongside churches wanting to touch those who are hurting in Jesus's name.

These hurricanes are the greatest natural disasters of our lifetime. 20 years ago when Hurricane Katrina hit, hundreds of churches across America responded. We sent 4,000 volunteers in the first year to help New Orleans and the surrounding area rebuild. The victims of Helene and Milton need that kind of compassionate response.

Many relief agencies have been preparing and are already in motion. Adventures Relief among them - activating our network of partners and churches to help.

It's a good time to ask the question, "How will my church respond?" If you'd like to look at options, you can begin by getting in touch with our Adventures Relief team.
