When I was in Cuba in 1995, I met Ramon Lopez, who was a revolutionary leader with Castro.

He and his wife got into the ministry because of their son, now a pastor in Miami. At age seven, he became an itinerant preacher. As they transported him all over, their hearts were touched. And they gave their lives fully to Jesus.

Even in their 80's as I sat talking to them, their passion for the gospel was undiminished.

Lopez shared the story of how three years ago, a vehicle had run over and crushed his feet, tearing the muscle from the bone.

Rushed to the hospital, the doctors gave him no hope of ever walking again. They were simply too mangled.

Lopez prayed, "Oh Lord, these feet are yours, they are the feet you have proclaimed 'blessed' because they bring good news. Heal them, Lord, so that I can serve you again."

Miraculously, God answered his prayer. Muscle grew back and reattached to the bone!

The doctors were stunned and later held a seminar to discuss the unheard of phenomenon of muscle spontaneously growing. Now, even as a very old man, Lopez continues to walk miles to preach the gospel.
